How I Refresh My Mind, Body & Spirit For Next Season

This post has been sponsored by Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’m taking my beauty routine to the next level for spring by giving my natural hair, nails, and body a refreshing start. When thinking about a spring refresh, we often consider how to breathe new life into a situation. So this is the perfect time to take things into your own hands, such as with an at-home hair color like Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color from Dollar General.

For step-by-step guidance on how to refresh your hair color at home, head to this post about how to use at home box hair color, and always make sure to follow package instructions. I love to grab my Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color from Dollar General, since they always have affordable essentials for my beauty routine.

In the spring, I tend to focus on refreshing and renewing my mind, body, and spirit.

Refresh your hair

I start my spring beauty routine by refreshing my hair color with Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color in the shade Rich Caviar. You’ll love this color if you’re going for a dark and sultry look. When the weather begins to warm up, I opt for a short and bouncy look to perfectly complement the bright colors and sundresses that I plan on sporting all spring. I’m using the shade 1.9 Rich Caviar from Dollar General. The long-lasting color and intensity are what makes me use Keratin Color for any hair color I’m going for. It gives me even coverage from root to tip.

With minimal manipulation, natural hair can grow up to 1 inch per month, which is amazing, but new growth equals more maintenance. Make sure to keep your ends trimmed once a quarter. You can save now by purchasing the Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color in the shade Rich Caviar at your local Dollar General.

Switch your nails out to bold Spring colors

Dollar General also sells a plethora of press-on nail options to choose from. You’ll be able to keep your look refreshed with a fresh set of nails every week—one of the easiest ways to level-up any spring outfit. With at-home press on nails, you’re able to enjoy any color or design. I also choose them at a price I can afford.

Take a bubble bath

I can honestly say that I waited too long to take a bubble bath for the first time as an adult. I assumed that it would be a waste of my productive time, but when it comes to self-care and refreshing your spirit, nothing is a waste of time if that’s what relaxes you.

A few perks to taking a bubble bath are muscle relaxation, skincare, mental health, and sleeping. Bubble baths are a great way to let your body heal, and it allows your muscles to relax. Hot water does wonders for your skin and increases blood flow, along with opening your pores and allowing them to get cleaned more effectively. Like I previously stated, bubble baths are a great way to take some “you” time and pamper yourself, but they are also proven to help people fall asleep quicker. These are just a few of the amazing benefits of a bubble bath.

Start a new set of self-help books

Whether you’re a fan of reading hard copies or an audiobook aficionado like myself, reading can be a source for the renewal of your spirit and intentions. I am a huge fan of audio entertainment

because you can listen while you workout, or while doing things around the house. There are so many amazing self-help books out there for each aspect of your life.

With a new season upon us, I find it essential to refresh my mind and body in order to manage all that may come my way. My favorite form of exercise is putting my hair back and having a good yoga session. Yoga practice can be easily done at home with video tutorials. You can also find classes locally if you’d rather go somewhere and be taught in person.
