WE not Me

I learned very early in the engagement that the most important part is the marriage we are preparing ourselves for. Us Women can definitely get carried away by all the planning, pressure and spotlight that engagements bring to your life. It should be no surprise that deep down (or very openly) Nigerian women or women in general seem to be in competition with each other when it comes to weddings. In my opinion it does not matter if her traditional wedding is the same weekend as your white wedding, she uses your planner, her venue is nicer or her bridesmaids are prettier (btw my bridesmaids are very beautiful but that’s besides the point! Lol). At the end of the day when all the aso ebi are done dancing, the cake is finished and you leave your venue, all that matters is that man you have promised your life to in front of God. PLEASE CHOOSE WISELY.

I know how it is! When engagement season rolls around, girls start getting that itch! Where’s my husband? OR when is he gonna finally propose? Then when it happens it’s all about making your wedding stand out above the rest.

In my humble opinion, I think we need to be reminded that God has prepared your spirit to find a soul mate that is equally yoked with you. Please don’t settle because of superficial reasons like timing or wealth.
Enjoy single life. Then enjoy engagement. Then enjoy married life. It all should only happen once ☺ lol.

Very well said the marriage is the most important thing. I married my soul mate and best friend. God showed me she was my wife. Don’t get caught up in the superficial wait on God to give you the mate you deserve.
